Position Overview

The General Manager will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Bousquet Sport health and fitness club, ensuring exceptional member experiences while driving sustainable growth and operational excellence. This role requires a dynamic leader who can balance business acumen with a passion for health, wellness, and community building.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Development

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals, including membership growth, revenue targets, and facility improvements
• Identify and pursue new revenue streams and business opportunities while maintaining the core mission and values of the organization
• Monitor industry trends and implement innovative programs and services to maintain competitive advantage
• Foster relationships with local businesses and community organizations to expand the Sport’s presence and impact

Financial Management

• Oversee all financial aspects including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management within expected timelines
• Drive revenue growth through membership sales, program development, advertising & sponsorship, and ancillary services
• Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to make informed business decisions
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain transparent reporting systems

Operations Oversight

• Provide guidance and support to the operations team in achieving budget targets and operational excellence
• Review and approve operational policies, procedures, and quality standards
• Evaluate and authorize major capital expenditures and improvement projects
• Ensure operational alignment with organizational strategic goals and industry best practices
• Monitor key operational metrics and provide direction for continuous improvement initiatives
• Support the development and implementation of risk management strategies

Team Leadership

• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team
• Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and development
• Create a positive workplace culture that promotes excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Ensure optimal staffing levels, scheduling, and payroll & benefits administration

Member Experience & Programming

• Ensure delivery of exceptional member service and maintain high member satisfaction levels
• Oversee development and implementation of diverse fitness programs, wellness initiatives, and tennis & pickleball programs
• Establish systems for gathering and acting upon member feedback
• Drive member retention through engagement strategies and relationship building

Bousquet Sport is a premier health and fitness facility featuring state-of-the-art pickleball courts and programming. Our newly renovated facility serves 300+ active players and welcomes over 100 guests monthly. We are committed to delivering exceptional experiences while growing the sport of pickleball in our community.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Pickleball Professional to join our dynamic pickleball program. This role combines hands-on instruction, program development, and operational management to create an outstanding member experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing our pickleball community while maintaining the highest standards of instruction and service.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Player Development

• Deliver daily on-court instruction through private lessons, clinics, and group programs
• Design and implement comprehensive training programs for all skill levels
• Evaluate player skills and create personalized development plans
• Maintain current knowledge of pickleball techniques, strategies, and teaching methodologies
• Ensure proper court etiquette and safety protocols are followed

Program Management & Growth

• Collaborate in the development and execution of quality programming for all skill levels
• Create and implement strategies to increase member and guest participation

Facility Operations

• Oversee court scheduling and reservation systems using club management software
• Coordinate seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor court operations
• Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all pickleball facilities
• Assist with equipment inventory and maintenance
• Work with maintenance team to maintain court safety and playing conditions

Member Relations & Community Building

• Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all skill levels
• Build and maintain strong relationships with members and guests
• Address member inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
• Assist with the organization of community-building events and social activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or related field (preferred)
• Current IPTPA certification (Level 2 preferred)
• 3+ years of professional pickleball instruction experience
• Personal playing ability of 4.0 or higher (preferred)
• Proven track record of program development and growth
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in club management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• CPR and First Aid certification (must complete within 3 months of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a private club setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to demonstrate pickleball techniques and movements
• Stand/walk for extended periods
• Lift and move equipment up to 30 pounds
• Work in various weather conditions (indoor and outdoor courts)

Schedule Requirements

• Full-time position (40+ hours per week)
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Seasonal adjustment to meet peak demand periods

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary $30,000 – $35,000

Commission opportunity $35,000+
