Elliot Borden

Client Service Associate

Elliot moved to the beautiful Berkshires from sunny South Florida in 2012 and instantly fell in love with the area. He was the manager of Planet Fitness in Pittsfield for two and a half years and during that time he developed an interest in health and fitness. That experience—combined with his gregarious personality and nearly two decades of working in the service and hospitality industries—helped him fine-tune his people skills to a degree that made him a perfect fit for our client services staff! Though a full-time training coordinator at Greylock Federal Credit Union, he joined our team part-time to continue his journey in the fitness world and has been a hit with the members since day one.

One of his many favorite things about the Berkshires is being able to step right out into the backyard and explore nature. He loves hiking, tubing the Deerfield in the summer with family and friends, and loves to sing in his spare time. He is very excited to continue growing and spending time with his Bousquet Sport family!

ERIC COOPER

Executive Director

Eric is a native of Southern Berkshire County where he spent his childhood exploring the outdoors, building forts, and playing sports. Eric attended Berkshire School in Sheffield, MA before heading off to Colgate University where he graduated with a BA in Economics. After college, Eric spent time sailing the Caribbean and completed two off-shore vessel deliveries between New England and the Caribbean during which he learned a lot about himself, humility and the power of mother nature. Eventually, Eric put away the boat shoes and put on a suit in NYC, and later Boston, where he helped build an institutional client service team for an asset management firm. In 2017, Eric knew it was time to hang up the suit and move back to the Berkshires. He and Otto settled in Great Barrington where they spent the next two-plus years hiking and enjoying intentional time away from an office.

In 2020 Eric started networking in an effort to find an employment opportunity in the Berkshires and was lucky enough to connect with Mill Town. Mill Town’s focus on community improvement and outdoor recreation really resonated with Eric, so he was thrilled to join the team in early 2021 with a focus on the rejuvenation of Bousquet Sport.

Eric currently lives in Lenox with a busy family, and still tries to find time to hit the trails and hit the links.

JACK TRAINOR

Business Manager

As Business Manager, Jack assumes a breadth of responsibilities related to finance, business administration, and customer service.

A Pittsfield native, Jack graduated from PHS in 2015, and later from BCC and Westfield State, in ‘17 and ’19, respectively. Throughout college, he spent his summers working at Tanglewood, and most previously held the role of Youth Program Manager at the YMCA, where he worked on various youth sports programs and directed a summer camp in North Adams. His reason for wanting to join our team? “For the opportunity to work with Mill Town and Bousquet Sport because I love the mission of making the Berkshires a better place to live, work, and play, which had always been something I hoped to do in my career, and I really feel like we are building something amazing.”

Outside of work, Jack likes to relax and spend time with friends and family. Now, he’s a part of our team and we are grateful to have him.

JAMES MCMAHON

Client Service Manager

Born and raised in the Berkshires, James is a graduate of Wahconah Regional High School where he was a three-sport athlete. While pursuing a degree in graphic design at Framingham State University he dabbled in various service and retail jobs, but eventually realized his true passion was fitness. A lay-off in 2010 gave him an opportunity to pursue his passion and he spent the next 10 years taking on various roles within the fitness industry, including personal trainer, group fitness and SPIN instructor, strength & conditioning coach, a brief stint as Fitness Director at the Community Recreation Association in Dalton, and Head Track & Field Coach of his alma mater.

James has a deep appreciation for the unique diversity and natural beauty of the Berkshires, and can often be found enjoying it on a run, a bike ride or a hike on the Appalachian Trail with his wife. He finds fulfillment in helping others and his favorite part about working at Bousquet Sport is the opportunity it has given him to meet our many unique and wonderful members. He feels very welcomed by this community and considers it a pleasure to serve them on a daily basis.

DANIEL LOVE

Dan is a life long Berkshire county resident. He has been a certified exercise specialist for 11 years working at a multitude of locations within the Berkshires as well as New York. While working at each of these locations he has had the opportunity to work with a number of different clients, each with individual exercise capabilities and needs ranging from high school and college athletes to those who just wanted to learn how to use the equipment in a fitness facility and create a program that best served them.

Most recently, while being a husband and father, he attended the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in health sciences with a concentration on sports medicine.
