Carter played pickleball for the first time in the summer of 2023 and instantly found passion for the sport. He is a student at Pittsfield High School, and when he is not in school, he’s on the courts drilling, practicing, and playing games. Carter loves to compete in tournaments and challenge himself as much as possible. His goal and dream is to become a professional pickleball player who competes on the pro tour.

Carter completed and received his IPTPA Level I teaching certification in April 2025, and he is excited to begin teaching lessons. He loves breaking down the game on a technical level and helping players find success in technique, strategy, and smart decision making.

Colby is a dedicated fitness professional with a lifelong passion for sports and fitness. Having played soccer throughout his life at Wahconah Regional High School and in various competitive clubs, Colby also attended UMass Amherst, where he played club soccer and pursued a background in kinesiology. With over a decade of experience in weightlifting and a love for snowboarding, Colby brings a well-rounded understanding of physical fitness. As a certified NASM Personal Trainer, Colby is excited to bring on new clients, having already successfully trained with a dozen individuals prior. Specializing in strengthening, flexibility, and athletic performance, Colby works with clients of all ages, helping them achieve their fitness goals through effective resistance training programs. Colby is passionate about guiding others to improve their strength, mobility, and overall health.

Courtney has been teaching fitness classes for over 36 years. From aerobics to indoor cycling, she’s taught it all. Although she has had to cut back on her fitness schedule because of her job as an elementary school teacher, she still teaches indoor cycling and loves it! Courtney’s classes are intense, but filled with humor and joy. She plays music spanning multiple decades, and often includes Beyonce, U2 and Beck.

David joined our team in October of 2021, bringing a wealth of tennis knowledge and an undeniable passion for the sport. Humble, supportive, and eager to help all ages and abilities improve their game while having a whole lot of fun in the process, we couldn’t be happier to have him. His impressive 40+ years of experience includes:

Emily Cohen is a certified yoga instructor who completed the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program. Her training included extensive study in teaching methodology, anatomy and physiology, philosophy, lifestyle, ethics, and practicum.

With a strong background in program development and leadership, Emily combines her deep understanding of yoga with expertise in wellness, movement, and mindfulness. Her approach emphasizes creating supportive and adaptable learning environments that meet the diverse needs of her students.

With over three years of experience at Bousquet Sport, I recently stepped into the role of Assistant Program Manager, where I continue to grow my passion for fitness, community, and member experience. I’ve always been driven by personal fitness goals and enjoy helping others pursue theirs, whether they’re just getting started or pushing to the next level.

What I value most about this work is the strong sense of community, it’s what makes the environment motivating, supportive, and fun. Recently, I’ve also developed a serious passion for pickleball, which has quickly become my go-to activity both on and off the court.

I’m excited to continue building programs, connecting with members, and contributing to an environment where everyone feels encouraged to stay active and engaged.

Greg is a certified instructor for Tai Chi Gung, a simple Yoga system created over 3000 years ago. He discovered it during Covid in 2021, and began practicing daily. In 2024 he started training to become an instructor and was certified. He began teaching in 2025 at the Circle of Chi Wellness Center in Jacksonville, Florida, along with teaching weekly classes at the YMCA, Del Webb over 55 community, Anthem Lakes Assisted Living, and on the beach on Amelia Island. 

Greg and his family have lived in the Berkshires for over 20 years. He is a retired business owner, previously owning Nichols Package Store and Wheelers Market in Pittsfield. Greg and his wife Linda have four daughters, Natalie, Megan, Nicole, and Kelly, who all graduated from Lenox High School. They have two grand children, Tyler and Megan’s sons Ryan and Barrett.

Since practicing Tai Chi Gung daily, Greg has improved sleep and balance, lowered his heart rate and high cholesterol, increased overall strength and energy, decreased chronic aches and pains, lowered stress, and has stopped taking prescription medications.

Guilherme Bento is a USPTA Professional Certified Coach who brings more than a decade of high-level playing and coaching experience to Bousquet Sport. A former top junior in Brazil and collegiate standout at Ave Maria University, Gui has competed in professional events, developed players across all levels, and built a reputation for his technical expertise and strong on-court presence.

Gui’s coaching style blends technical precision, mental toughness, and a competitive mindset—qualities shaped by years of international competition and elite training environments. Before joining Bousquet Sport, he served as an Assistant Tennis Coach at Ave Maria University and as an Assistant Tennis Professional at Wyantenuck Country Club in Massachusetts.

As a player, Gui earned a full athletic scholarship to Ave Maria University, where he played the No. 1 singles position in the Sun Conference, the strongest conference in the NAIA. He earned one of the most significant victories in program history with a win over the No. 3 ranked player in the nation and helped lead AMU to its first-ever national ranking. His team reached the NAIA National Tournament quarterfinals and finished the season ranked No. 8 nationally.

Prior to his collegiate career, Gui was the No. 1 junior player in Rio de Janeiro in both the U16 and U18 divisions and competed in entry-level ATP events, winning multiple professional prize-money tournaments. He also achieved a 12 UTR in both singles and doubles.

Gui began his on-court journey early—first as a ball kid at age 11, then as a coach at 16. With more than 11 years of coaching experience, he now brings his passion, discipline, and competitive expertise to players at Bousquet Sport, helping them elevate their game with confidence.

Born and raised in the Berkshires, James is a graduate of Wahconah Regional High School where he was a three-sport athlete. While pursuing a degree in graphic design at Framingham State University he dabbled in various service and retail jobs, but eventually realized his true passion was fitness. A lay-off in 2010 gave him an opportunity to pursue his passion and he spent the next 10 years taking on various roles within the fitness industry, including personal trainer, group fitness and SPIN instructor, strength & conditioning coach, a brief stint as Fitness Director at the Community Recreation Association in Dalton, and Head Track & Field Coach of his alma mater.

James has a deep appreciation for the unique diversity and natural beauty of the Berkshires, and can often be found enjoying it on a run, a bike ride or a hike on the Appalachian Trail with his wife. He finds fulfillment in helping others and his favorite part about working at Bousquet Sport is the opportunity it has given him to meet our many unique and wonderful members. He feels very welcomed by this community and considers it a pleasure to serve them on a daily basis.
